Gregory Rambarran was re-elected president of the Berbice Volleyball Association (BVA) unopposed when the body held its election on Sunday at the Albion Sports Complex.
The new vice president is Bhirooj Poonai. Other committee members are Aditya Anand Singh, Secretary, and Godwyn Allicock, the new Treasurer. The association also elected a new public relations officer, D. Seelochan, with Errol Chase as the organising secretary.
The executive is expected to meet shortly to plan their calendar of events for 2013. Plans are already in place to raise the standard of volleyball in Berbice and Guyana, starting from the school level.
